About This Course

Low Carbon Fuels – Multilingual
Course Duration: ~ 1 – 2hr
Course Overview
This Low Carbon Fuels course provides an introduction to low carbon fuels, how they are produced and their current and potential applications across the energy and transport sectors.
Developed by Hydrogen Safe in partnership with ARCADIS. As industries look for alternatives to conventional fossil fuels, a range of low carbon fuel technologies are being developed and deployed. Delegates will explore the different types of low carbon fuels, how they are produced and the role they can play in reducing emissions across hard-to-decarbonise sectors.
The course is available in six languages: English, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, German, Spanish and French, enabling organisations to provide consistent hydrogen safety training across multilingual teams and international operations.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Define low carbon fuels and explain their role in the energy transition.
- Identify different types of low carbon fuels and their characteristics.
- Describe the main approaches used to produce low carbon fuels.
- Explain how production methods can influence the carbon intensity of a fuel.
- Identify current applications of low carbon fuels across different sectors.
- Recognise the potential role of low carbon fuels in reducing emissions.
- Discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with the wider adoption of low carbon fuels.
